The moon is a ball, like the earth. But it is much smaller than the earth. The moon goes round the earth. It takes twenty-eight days to go right round.so we call twenty-eight days a month; that is, a “month”. So the moon is called the earth’s servant. The light the moon gives is not its own light. It is not a mass of fire like the sun. It is a cold, dead mass of rock. Its light comes from the sun shining on it. So moonlight is really second-hand sunlight. It borrows its light from the sun. So moonlight is soft and dim, as compared with change its shape. But it doesn’t really change. All the time it is a round. But we can see only that part of it that is lit up by the sun. The rest is dark. Ball.
